Object(h)ing
Object(h)ing is a sculptural collection created by artist Alice Steele.
The project is an autoethnographic account of women's health narratives and the gender data gap that exists in medicine.
The collection contains twelve representational objects of the female body parts named after men in historic. These are used as metaphors to encapsulate the concepts of absurdity and primitive understanding contrasted against the purported advancements of the modern healthcare system.
